Burn Atlas began as the solo project of Joe Ballent, who played every instrument on the self-titled album available on Spotify. With rotating rosters of collaborating musicians, he was a four-time act at Sundance Film Festival, where his custom-built ‘ski-tar’ made a splash with locals and the likes of Jack Black. Having licensed the track ‘Atmosphere’ for commercial use, he still loves performing acoustic covers locally and building guitars while pursuing his medical education in the Physician Assistant program at the University of Utah, where he also competes as a cyclist.
